Position Summary

The senior manager, demand generation is responsible for the strategy development and execution of outbound lead generation and lead nurture programs in support of ELT’s products. The senior manager, demand generation is responsible for generating leads and revenue through strategic online and offline campaigns. This position will work closely with our Account Executives, Corporate Marketing and Product teams in the development of the company’s overall customer acquisition and retention strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute and monitor strategic lead generation and lead nurture campaigns
  • Research and present recommendations for direct response marketing programs including email campaigns, Webinars, content syndication, and both Web-based and in-person events
  • Manage the development of content required for campaign deliverables (white papers, success stories, Web pages, etc.) through internal and/or agency resources
  • Become a world-class expert in using marketing automation for sophisticated lead management, sales insight, and pipeline analytics
  • Support Sales Development and Account Executive representatives with campaigns, templates, and “sales plays” that add the human touch to lead development
  • Deliver world-class reporting and analytics that show how marketing programs impact revenue; define and track key metrics, develop dashboards, deliver ad-hoc analyses as needed
  • Drive testing and optimization into all aspects of our marketing
  • Provide recommendations for marketing strategy and tactics based on testing and analysis
  • Work with Account Executive teams to track and manage lead flow and increase conversion rates at each stage of marketing and sales engagement
  • Report on quantitative and qualitative information from a variety of systems, including, but not limited to Salesforce.com and Marketo, for a consolidated view of the business
  • Stay on the cutting edge of marketing best practices by gathering and filtering new ideas from customers, colleagues and other experts; communicate and share best practices

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record of success directly managing lead generation and lead nurture programs
  • Clear understanding of ROI analysis and proven analytical ability to track multiple campaigns, analyze results, and recommend changes
  • Working understanding of programming and development environments of Salesforce.com, Marketo, Google Analytics and other major CRM and analytics tools; experience on the integrations of these systems is desired
  • Knowledge of best practices for sales and marketing operations, automation and workflow processes;  understanding & experience with lead management, marketing automation and demand generation with focus on success of impact/revenue
  • Knowledge of lead scoring, passing and reporting to show results, gaps and areas for optimization
  • World class analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong project management and planning skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously for seamless execution
  • Ability to decompose complex problems and processes into smaller pieces
  • Ability to turn data into marketing intelligence and action-oriented analysis
  • Ability to think critically and communicate complex information
  • Proven initiative with the ability to manage competing priorities and define own workload while meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Understand how marketing and sales professionals “tick” and be able to articulate solutions in a business-focused language
  • Minimum five years in demand generation or marketing operations position, software-as-a-service marketing experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree from top school in Marketing, Economics, Math, Science, Statistics or related field; MBA strongly preferred
